DALLAS, Texas (2/11/22) – Going 4-0 in Baker matches Friday, the Arkansas State bowling team is second among 11 teams at the Lady Techsters Classic hosted by Louisiana Tech at USA Bowl.
 
A-State (38-18), ranked seventh in the latest NTCA poll, went 4-0 in the five matches totaling 4,721 pins, an average of 188.8 per match. Louisiana Tech leads total pinfall at 4,928 pins (197.1) with Vanderbilt just behind the Red Wolves in third at 4,718 pins (188.7).
 
After downing 878 pins in the bye match, the Red Wolves topped Long Island University 944-842. A-State followed with a 936-724 decision over Grambling and then topped No. 2 Sam Houston State 997-916. The Red Wolves closed out the day with a 966-932 margin against Tulane.
 
Five traditional matches are on tap Saturday before bracket play Sunday at USA Bowl. The A-State bowling team hosts the Mid-Winter Invitational presented by Kalmer Solutions Feb. 18-20 at Hijinx Family Entertainment in Jonesboro.
