A-State Announces Men’s Golf Spring Schedule

JONESBORO, Ark. (1/10/23) – Arkansas State men's golf head coach Mike Hagen announced the Red Wolves 2023 spring schedule on Tuesday.

Coming off a strong fall slate, the Red Wolves are slated to compete in five regular-season events and the Sun Belt Conference Championship looking for the seventh NCAA Regional appearance in program history.

A-State, which completed the fall with a team stroke average of 282.83, opens the spring slate Feb. 27 – March 1 at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate hosted by Louisiana. The tournament will take place at Reflection Bay Golf Club and the tournament field consists of the Ragin' Cajuns, Central Arkansas, Kansas City, Kentucky, Little Rock, Long Beach State, Michigan, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Pacific, Rocky Mountain College, South Florida, Stetson, UAB and Winthrop.

Next up, the Red Wolves head to Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla., for the Seminole Intercollegiate hosted by Florida State March 12-14. A-State joins the Seminoles, Boston College, FAU, Florida Gulf Coast, Indiana, Jacksonville, Lamar, Lipscomb, North Alabama, Ole Miss, Southern Illinois, Troy, UAB and VCU in the tournament field.

The third event of the spring sends the Red Wolves to Houston, Texas, March 20-21 for the All-American Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Houston at the Golf Club of Houston. The tournament field consists of A-State, Houston, Abilene Christian, Charleston Southern, Georgia State, Kansas State, ULM, Louisiana Tech, Lamar, Louisiana, Louisville, LSU, New Mexico State, North Texas, Ole Miss, Rice, Sam Houston, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Texas State and UTRGV.

The Red Wolves head to Columbia, Mo., April 10-11 for the Tiger Collegiate Invitational hosted by Missouri at the Club at Old Hawthorne. A-State joins Missouri, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Lipscomb, Marquette, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, Rutgers, St. Mary's and Wyoming.

Wrapping up the regular season, A-State hosts the Tunica National Intercollegiate at Tunica National April 17-18. Joining the Red Wolves for the event will be Jacksonville State, Louisiana Tech, Missouri State, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Old Dominion, Oral Roberts, Samford, South Dakota, Southeastern Louisiana, UT Arlington and UTEP.

The 2023 Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship will take place at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss., April 23-26. All 14 Sun Belt teams will participate in the championship that begins with three rounds of stroke play and the top four teams advancing to match play semifinals. If selected, the Red Wolves then compete in the NCAA Regionals May 15-17. Pending the results at NCAA Regionals, A-State could then qualify for the NCAA Championship at Grayhawk GC in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 26-31.

May 26-31 | NCAA Championship at Grayhawk GC in Scottsdale, Ariz.
