HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. (10/22/24) – Closing out its fall portion of the 2024-25 schedule, the Arkansas State women's golf team finished seventh among 18 teams at the Diamante Intercollegiate.
A-State turned in a 2-under par 286 Tuesday to close out the tournament at 7-over par 871 and seventh among 18 teams. Florida Gulf Coast won the event at 16-under par 848 and was followed by Boston College (-13), Oral Roberts (-7), Little Rock (-7) and California Baptist (-2) in the top five.
The 2-under par 286 round by the Red Wolves is the sixth par or better round of the season to tie the program record high set in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. Totaling 871 over the 54-hole event ranks tied for the eighth-lowest total in program history and is the third entry in the top 10 this season.
Ashley Kim finished fifth closing out the tournament with a second consecutive 3-under par 69 to total 7-under par 209. It marked her 10th par or better round this season, third-most by an A-State player in any season, while her 17 career par or better rounds ranks tied for the fourth-most. The top five finish marks her sixth career top 10 finish and the 54-hole total of 209 ranks tied for the sixth lowest in program history.
Morgan Beaulieu capped off a top 25 performance finishing tied for 23rd at 2-over par 218 (70-72-76). Madison Tenore moved up 12 places in the final round to tie for 25th at 3-over par 219 (76-71-72). Olivia Coit tied for 30th at 4-over par 220 (74-72-74) while Sofia Bastidas climbed 23 spots in the final round to finish tied for 47th at 7-over par 223 (76-76-71). Caroline Hughes tied for 64th (74-73-79) and Anne-Lea Lavoie (78-76-78) was 81st.
The Red Wolves begin the spring slate Feb. 9-11 at the UNC Greensboro Collegiate in Palm City, Fla.
