Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

A-State Concludes 2024 Season at Troy, 0-0

TROY, Ala. (10/31/24) – Arkansas State women's soccer (4-6-6, 1-5-4 SBC) battled to a 0-0 draw against Troy (5-9-3, 1-7-2 SBC) to close out the 2024 campaign on Thursday night at the Troy Soccer Complex.
 
The Trojans held a narrow 17-13 advantage in shots, but led by a larger margin in shots-on-goal (9-3). Damaris Deschaine matched a season high for saves in a game, tallying nine in her fifth clean sheet of the season.
 
Keelyn Peacock led the Scarlet and Black with five shots while eight additional Red Wolves posted one.
 
A-State applied heavy pressure on Troy as the first half began to wind down, taking five shots with three on target. Three saves from Nittany Vega thwarted the scoring effort as both teams entered the half tied 0-0.
 
The Trojans shifted pressure onto the Scarlet and Black in the second half, taking the first nine shots across a 34-minute span. Deschaine notched five saves during the barrage as the contest remained scoreless going into the final stretch.
 
Keelyn Peacock posted both shots for A-State in the second half, missing high in the 83rd and 86th minutes. Deschaine recorded one final save in the 90th minute as the contest ended in a draw.
 
The Red Wolves finish with six ties on the season, which is a team record.
