JONESBORO, Ark. (10/31/24) – Arkansas State women's tennis is set to conclude its fall slate this weekend, competing in the LU Hidden Dual, held Friday-Sunday in Lynchburg, Va.
Friday at 2 p.m. CT, the Red Wolves will take on Liberty, and then East Carolina at 9 a.m. Saturday. The tournament concludes Sunday morning, with A-State facing Elon at 8 a.m. The Red Wolves' final bout on Sunday will be played on the indoor courts, and will be live streamed.
"We have had a great fall and have seen amazing growth," head coach Sujay Lama said. "We would love to finish the fall on a high note and take the momentum into the spring. This is a perfect format to play three quality teams in a hidden-dual format and it's a chance for us to see how much more improved we are from last season."
Freshman Loles Carbo Chova currently leads the team in singles wins (6), followed closely behind Anna Grigoreva and Lily Cvanciger with five victories.
In doubles, Sarah Millard and Carla Muro Castellvi lead the way with a 4-3 ledger.
Last time out, A-State totaled 17 victories (13 singles, 4 doubles) at the ITA Central Regional Championships, held Oct. 9-12 in Memphis, Tenn.
