LYNCHBURG, Va. (11/1/24) – Arkansas State women's tennis went 3-0 in doubles play on Friday, beginning play at the Liberty Hidden Dual.

Anna Grigoreva and Sarah Millard topped host Liberty's pair of Daniella O'Neill and Maria Turchetto 7-6(5), while Lily Cvanciger and Abigail Thurmer teamed up to defeat Flame duo Anika Lemus and Yoanna Radulova 7-5.

Loles Carbo Chova and Carla Muro Castellvi paired up against East Carolina's Brooke LaFrenz and Lilly Lancaster, topping the Pirate pair 6-3.

In singles, Carbo Chova picked up her second win of the day – a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Lancaster to win her fifth consecutive singles match and improve to 7-2 on the year.

Against Liberty in singles play, Grigoreva dropped a 6-2, 6-4 decision to O'Neill, while Cvanciger lost a tough three-set battle against Radulova by a score of 6-7, 6-3, 10-6. Muro Castellvi fell 6-3, 6-1 to Turchetto and Millard dropped a 6-3, 6-3 outcome to Lemus. Thurmer faced LaFrenz of ECU, dropping a 6-3, 6-1 decision.

The Red Wolves continue play Saturday in Lynchburg, slated for a 9 a.m. CT start.
