JONESBORO, Ark. (4/19/24) – Arkansas State women's basketball head coach
Destinee Rogers announced Friday the addition of transfer guard Bella Weary to the 2024-25 roster.
Weary began her intercollegiate career at USF before transferring to Daytona State for the 2023-24 season. The Jacksonville, Florida, native averaged 15.1 points per game on a 36.6 percent clip for the Falcons, earning Citrus Conference First Team honors.
"We are so excited to add Bella to our squad," Rogers said. "Her belief in our vision and the program made it a perfect fit. Bella's ability to score on all three levels makes her an elite addition. We can't wait to get her to Jonesboro."
In addition to points, Weary averaged 29.0 minutes per game along with 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists during the 2023-24 campaign. She guided Daytona State to a 16-14 record after ranking 19
th in the nation for steals and 8
th in the conference for scoring.
Weary enters her first season with the Red Wolves as a redshirt-junior and has two years of eligibility remaining.
