JONESBORO, Ark. (8/1/24) – Arkansas State baseball head coach
Mike Silva announced Thursday the date for an upcoming summer camp at Tomlinson Stadium-Kell Field and that registration is open.
The
Mike Silva Prospect Showcase Camp will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24, for prospects ranging from eighth grade to college senior. Pitchers and catchers will take the field at 9 a.m. while position players will start at 10:30 am.
The registration fee for pitchers and position players is $212 per camper, and the fee for dual players is $255.
Every camp is designed to provide players with instruction from the Arkansas State coaching staff and current players in all areas of baseball. Campers will experience a variety of drill instruction and game participation that will build and maintain successful offensive and defensive fundamental skills.
Campers must bring their own hat, glove, helmet, bat, cleats, tennis shoes and suitable baseball attire (baseball pants). Catchers should bring their own catching gear. Campers are highly encouraged to have their name clearly printed on their own equipment.
In the event of inclement weather, sessions will be moved to the Student Activity Center, located directly north of Centennial Bank Stadium.
Disclaimer: Please note that in accordance with NCAA Rules, an athletics booster or other representative of Arkansas State's athletics interests may not pay for any expense (e.g., registration fee, travel, lodging, etc.) related to a prospective student-athlete's participation in a sports camp or clinic administered by Arkansas State or any of its coaches or staff members.
Arkansas State University Baseball Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
