JONESBORO, Ark. (10/29/25) – Arkansas State soccer (4-7-4, 2-6-2 SBC) was fueled by a first half
Keelyn Peacock goal to the season finale victory over Coastal Carolina (3-5-8, 0-2-8 SBC).
Coastal's offense was active in the opening 15 minutes, with the Red Wolves working to defend three corners. In the 19
th minute,
Lu Flores drove a corner kick across the box, and
Maya Jones bounced the ball back in right to Peacock where she redirected the ball past the keeper.
Â
A slow start on both sides, there was little action outside the middle third until a lob left Peacock in the open field, where she took a shot over the charging keeper that went just over the crossbar. A yellow card in favor of the Chanticleers turned the tide, but the Red Wolves bowed up to stop the attack and worked defense throughout the final 25 minutes, with senior
Damaris Deschaine making seven saves in just the final 45 minutes.
