LAWRENCE, Kan. (10/6/25) – The Arkansas State women's golf team completed two rounds of play at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational, but play was suspended due to darkness before all 14 teams in the field at Lawrence Country Club could complete the second round.
With play suspended, A-State stands 10th at 41-over par. The Red Wolves shot 27-over par in the first round, but were 13 strokes better in the second round to move up four spots in the standings. Kansas completed 36 holes and is 7-under par. Missouri (+11), Cal Baptist (+13), Cal State Fullerton (+13), UC Davis (+23), Notre Dame (+25), UC Irvine (+29), Central Arkansas (+32) and Delaware complete the nine teams ahead of A-State. Cal Baptist, UC Davis, Notre Dame and Delaware will have to complete their second round Tuesday.
Olivia Coit paced the Red Wolves with a two-round total of 5-over par 147. Coit was 4-over 75 in the first round, but bounced back with a 1-over par 72 in the second round to rank tied for 20th with play suspended. Mackenzie Cloutier is tied for 24th after a first round 6-over par 77 and is even-par in the second round with a couple of holes remaining. Ceci Lococo totaled 8-over par 150 (77-73) for 31st, Morgan Beaulieu totaled 13-over 155 (78-77) for 53rd, Anne-Lea Lavoie totaled 15-over 157 (81-76) for 60th and Sofia Bastidas totaled 18-over par 160 (81-79) for 67th.
