JONESBORO, Ark. (2/16/25) – The fourth-ranked Arkansas State women's bowling team finished sixth among 18 teams, 13 that are ranked among the top 17 teams nationally.

A-State (62-28) opened bracket play against No. 5 Youngstown State and fell in a decisive game seven. The Red Wolves took game one, 244-211, but the Penguins evened it up with a 192-182 tally in game two. A-State responded in game three, 211-173, to lead 2-1, but Youngstown State once again evened the series with a 227-213 margin in game four. The Penguins led 3-2 after a 220-193 tally in game four, but A-State forced game seven with a 254-248 comeback in game six. Youngstown State closed out the series with a 216-199 margin in game seven.

The Red Wolves overcame an early 2-0 deficit to lead No. 9 Stephen F. Austin 3-2 in the second round of bracket play and came away with the win in game seven. SFA took game one (247-223) and two (221-202), but the Red Wolves took games three (217-187), four (245-171) and five (201-191) to build the 3-2 advantage. SFA forced a decisive game seven by winning game six by five pins, 230-225, but the Red Wolves won the final game 256-203 to seal the win.

A-State met No. 1 Nebraska in the final match of bracket play and fell 4-1. Nebraska took game one, 226-222, but the Red Wolves evened the series with a 240-212 advantage in game two. Nebraska closed out the match with wins of 225-206, 204-192 and 225-170.
