LAHAINA, Hawaii (3/24/25) – The Arkansas State women's golf team turned in an 8-over par 296 to stand 14th among 17 teams after the opening round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Kaanapali Golf Resort.

The Red Wolves are just four strokes back of UC Davis (+4) for 10th. Mercer holds the first-round lead at 6-under 282 followed by Oregon State (-5), Washington (-3), Sacramento State (-2), Denver (-2), Gonzaga (E), UC Riverside (+3), Cal Poly (+3) and BYU (+3) in the top 10. A-State is one stroke back of Montana State and Seattle for 12th while Sam Houston (+6) was 11th.

Madison Tenore paced the Red Wolves with an even-par round, her fourth par or better round this season, to stand 24th among the 98 players in the field. Morgan Beaulieu totaled 1-over par 73 to rank 38th while Anne-Lea Lavoie and Charlotte Menager were 2-over par to rank 48th. Sofia Bastidas totaled 5-over par 77 to rank 78th and Olivia Coit was 6-over par 78 to rank 85th.
