A-State Cross Country Sweeps Team Titles at Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (9/20/25) – Arkansas State cross country claimed the men's and women's team titles at the Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational for the fourth consecutive season on Saturday morning at Shelby Farms Park.
 
The men's team finished 23 points ahead of second place with a total of 39 in the 8K and the women held the top spot by a 34-point margin after posting a total of 40 in the 5K.
 
Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo led the A-State men in the 8K with a time of 25:16.20, 0.8 seconds shy of a personal best set at the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships on Oct. 28, 2023. Noah Herrera (25:54.10), Parker Noffz (25:54.40), Joe Edwards (25:54.58), and Avinash Patel (25.57.30) claimed the 7-10 spots while Craig Alan Becker finished 12th with a time of 26:10.92.
 
Devyn O'Daniel led the Red Wolves women in the 5K with a personal best of 18:30.30 and a fourth-place finish, replacing her previous mark of 18:32.80 set on Aug. 30. Mia Conroy and Sophey Pope joined her in the top 10, with the former placing seventh on a time of 18:50.04 and the latter finishing ninth on a time of 18:54.21.
 
Lizzee Winkler (19:07.13), Ava Lang (19:18.68), and Abigail Tomberlin (19:19.03) also finished inside the top 15 with 11th, 12th, and 13th place finishes.
