JONESBORO, Ark. (9/7/2025) – Arkansas State (2-1-2, 0-0-0 SBC) won 10-0 over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-4-0, 0-0-0 SWAC), led by a four-goal game from
Kennedy Horn.
Horn struck the first goal in the sixth minute, assisted by
Keelyn Peacock. She then landed her second in the 21
st minute, assisted by
Lu Flores. Just four minutes later
Ava Riehl tapped in her first goal of the season. Horn earned the ninth hat trick in program history in the 33
rd minute off a set piece scrum, assisted by
Alexia Watts. Another four minutes after
Keegynn Applegate set up
Sydney Veatch for her first goal of the 2025 season. Watts then closed out the first half with an
Ava Riehl assisted goal for the 6-0 lead entering halftime.
Freshman
Larkyn Griffin assisted
Leigha Dobbins, earning her first collegiate point in the 47
th minute, then two minutes later scored her first collegiate goal with an assist from Peacock. Watts scored her second goal of the game with the help of Veatch, and Horn headed in the final goal of the game with assists by Tindra Cedarholm and
Omamuzo Edafe in the 66
th minute.Â
Defensively, the Red Wolves did not allow a single shot for the entire game.
Horn's four goal game is the third in program history and ties the record, last done by Shawna Sparks at Jacksonville State in 2003. Horn's eight points is tied for second-most in program history with Rachel Reese's eight-point game in 2000. The team's 58 shots, 32Â shots on goal, 10 assists, and 30 points are all program records, surpassing 43 shots against Jackson State in 2012, 26 shots on goal at Jacksonville State in 2003, nine assists at Jacksonville State in 2003, and 29 points at Jacksonville State in 2003. The 10 goals this game ties the program record, when 10 goals were scored at Jacksonville State in 2003.Â
