A-State Women’s Tennis Begins Spring Slate Saturday at Alabama

JONESBORO, Ark. (1/16/26) – Arkansas State women's tennis begins its 2026 spring slate Saturday facing Alabama at the Alabama Tennis Stadium before closing out the weekend against North Alabama Monday in Tuscaloosa.
 
"We are very excited to get the season started against two very good teams," A-State head coach Sujay Lama said. "Our focus is on the process and development. We have a group of ladies with great character, amazing work ethic and committed to accomplishing our team goals. We are ready to battle and most importantly enjoy every bit of this journey together."
 
A-State meets Alabama at 10 a.m. Saturday before facing North Alabama at 10 a.m. Monday in Tuscaloosa. The Red Wolves completed their fall slate with a head-to-head record of 74-52, 26-15 in doubles and 48-37 in singles. A-State completed the 2024 fall with a record of 54-58 and the 2023 fall slate with a mark of 19-39.
 
The Red Wolves home opener is Friday, January 23, with a 5 p.m. contest at Jonesboro Country Club against Tennessee State. The first 50 fans receive a free t-shirt and free pizza and Lamanade will be available.
