JONESBORO, Ark. (10/11/26) – The 31st annual Arkansas State Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate golf tournament begins Monday at RidgePointe Country Club.

This is the 10th year the tournament will be played as the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate after previously being known as the Red Wolves Intercollegiate. It was renamed in honor of Barnett, who along with Wayne Wolfe, was instrumental in starting the annual tournament in 1997. Barnett, a long-time supporter of Arkansas State golf and junior golf programs, passed away in October 2023.

Among the teams making up this year's Arkansas State Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate are Arkansas State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Austin Peay, Beallarmine, Central Arkansas, Evansville, Incarnate Word, LSU New Orleans, Lindenwood, Murray State, North Carolina Central, Nicholls, Northern Iowa, Southeastern Louisiana, SIU Edwardsville, Southern Indiana and Tennessee State. Two individuals from Memphis complete the 98-player field.

The 54-hole tournament begins with the first and second rounds played continuously on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.
A-State has set a lineup of Jake Lile, Henry Styles, Jake Wallis, Milan Reed and Viggo Hed for the play five and count four team scoring. Cole Kirby, Max Tabone and William Wright will compete as individuals. The Red Wolves have won the team title each of the last 10 seasons and 16 times in the 30 tournaments contested.
