JONESBORO, Ark. (2/11/26) – Sophomore Arkansas State track and field distance runner Kamil Przybyla earned Sun Belt Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors following a stellar performance in the 800 meters at the Fairgrounds Invitational on Feb. 6-7.
 
The sophomore from Wodzislaw Slaski, Poland, clocked in at 1:49.34 to claim his second collegiate event title. The time stands as the second-fastest in A-State's indoor history for the event, trailing Hannes Fahl's indoor record of 1:49.13 set during the 2024 indoor season.
 
Przybyla holds the fastest 800-meter time among Sun Belt distance runners and places eighth in the South Central Region.
 
NEXT UP
A-State track and field is scheduled to compete at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque and the Music City Challenge in Nashville on Feb. 13-14. The Red Wolves are also slated for action at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston on Feb. 13.
