JONESBORO, Ark. (4/2/26) – Senior Arkansas State track and field pole vaulter
Carly Pujol was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Thursday following an impressive performance at the Alumni Bulldog Relays.
The Cape Girardeau, Missouri, native won her second pole vault event in as many weeks on March 27, posting a height of 4.16m (13-7.75). It is the highest mark by a Sun Belt pole vaulter in the 2026 outdoor season and stands as the third highest in the South Central Region.
She is tied with Cal Poly's Astrid Teran at 13th nationally.
Pujol previously earned field athlete of the week honors on April 30, 2025, and is the fourth Red Wolf to receive the weekly award in the 2025-26 cross country, indoor, and outdoor campaign.
She is scheduled to compete in the women's pole vault university elite event at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday, April 4.

A-State resumes the outdoor campaign at three meets on April 2-4. The Scarlet and Black will compete at the Bobcat Invitational, Texas Relays, and Triton Invitational.
