JONESBORO, Ark. (2/12/26) – For the first time this season, the Arkansas State women's tennis team will play home matches with a pair of contests in Jonesboro this weekend.
A-State (1-3) welcomes Tennessee State (0-1) Friday for a 10:00 a.m. first serve at Jonesboro Country Club and closes out the weekend with an 11:00 a.m. match against Lamar (4-1) Saturday at RidgePointe Country Club.
"Our ladies are super excited to be playing at home finally," A-State head coach
Sujay Lamar said. "We want to use the positive feelings we have from our last match to propel us this week. We want to get on a roll and build our confidence and momentum."
The Red Wolves are coming off a 4-2 win at Memphis on Sunday, the first win against the Tigers since 2009.
Meghna Arun Kumar was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week and brings a team-best three singles victories into the weekend.
Admission is FREE to both matches. A light brunch will be available for Friday's match at Jonesboro Country Club and Lamanade will be available at both matches.
