MONROE, La. (2/21/26) – Seven Red Wolves scored in double figures and Arkansas State men's basketball (18-11, 9-7 SBC) set a new program record for road wins in a season with a 102-94 decision over ULM (4-25, 1-15 SBC) on Saturday afternoon inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
 
The Red Wolves hold a 9-7 record in road games during the 2025-26 campaign, surpassing the previous record for road wins set in 1973-74 (8-1) and matched in 2024-25 (8-6). It is also the first time A-State has secured a winning record on the road in back-to-back seasons.
 
Joey Chammaa led the team with 21 points while TJ Caldwell (17), Christian Harmon (14), Jaxon Ellingsworth (13), Aly Tounkara (10), Matt Hayman (10) and Chandler Jackson (10) also reached double figures. It is the first time seven Red Wolves scored 10-plus points in a single game since a 99-68 win over Culver Stockton on December 22, 2017.
 
Tounkara led the team with 12 rebounds and secured his second double-double of the season while Chammaa registered a team-high five assists.
 
As a team the Red Wolves shot 31-for-63 (49.2 percent) from the field, including 14-for-33 (42.4 percent) from three-point range, and 26-for-31 (83.9 percent) from the charity stripe. A-State held a 51-29 advantage in points off the bench and a 9-8 advantage in points off fast breaks.
 
The Red Wolves started fast, scoring 10 of the first 12 points, but an 8-0 run on the other end tied the contest at the 16-minute mark. Neither side gained an advantage greater than two points until a three-pointer from Caldwell plus free throws from Chammaa created a 24-20 score.
 
A-State matched a layup and three-pointer from the Warhawks before scoring 13 of the next 18 to claim a 42-30 lead. Harmon stonewalled a 5-0 run by the opposition with a make from beyond the arc, and Ellingsworth answered a ULM score with another on the next possession to push the lead back into double digits.
 
Another push from the opposition closed the gap to five points with 1:43 to go, but Hayman's three-point basket from the corner ended the 6-1 run. ULM outscored A-State 5-4 over the final 1:30, but the latter held a 56-49 lead at intermission.
 
In 2025-26, the 56 points are the most scored by the Scarlet and Black in a first half and the nine three pointers made are the second most in a half versus a Division I opponent.
 
The lead stood at 62-53 with 16:59 to go, but an 8-2 run brought the margin down to one possession 1:25 later. Caldwell answered with his fourth make from three-point range, and after back-to-back scores on the other end, Jackson converted a three-point play to make the score 70-65.
 
The opposition scored three points as the lead dwindled to two, but Harmon landed a three-point basket and a free throw to create space. Chammaa added a three-pointer of his own plus free throws to push the lead past double digits once again, and Ellingsworth converted one more from the free-throw line to make the score 80-68.
 
The 12-point advantage was maintained through the 6:21 mark, but a 6-0 run spanning 2:12 cut it in half. Chammaa ended the stretch with two free throws, but a make on the other end made the score 91-85.
 
Three of the next five points fell in the Warhawks' favor, but Harmon and Ellingsworth made the most of their trips to the free throw line and extended the lead. With the score at 97-88 and 1:05 on the clock, Ellingsworth returned to the line for two more.
 
A-State added three points on free throws and surpassed the century mark for the first time ever inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The Warhawks added six more to their total, but it would not be enough as the Red Wolves concluded the 2025-26 road campaign.
