FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (2/24/26) – Arkansas State (6-2, 0-0 SBC) defeated No. 6 Arkansas (6-2, 0-0 SEC) for the first time in program history with the 12-4 win on the road at Baum-Walker Stadium Tuesday afternoon. Four Red Wolves combined for five home runs on the day, highlighted by two homers from
Cross Jumper.

A-State's win over the number six team in the country is the highest ranked win since 2016 (No. 6 Ole Miss), ties the third-highest ranked win in program history, and is the 10
th all-time win against a top-10 opponent.

Arkansas took the early lead with a leadoff solo shot to left field, but the Red Wolves responded in the top of the second with an explosion of offense.
Aidan Houseworth drove a solo homer to left center for the tie, and back-to-back singles set up a third from
Raul Torres to score another for the A-State advantage. Amundson loaded the bases after getting hit by a pitch, and
Ashton Quiller launched a grand slam for the 6-1 lead. The Razorbacks got one back with an RBI single in the bottom of the second.
Andrew Allen started on the mound for A-State sitting down three batters on strikeouts while relenting four hits and two runs.

Jumper hit his first home run for the only action of the third inning, and
Lane Walton followed suit with a solo rocket to right field in the fourth. The Razorbacks responded by putting a ball in the same spot for one run of their own. Right-hander
Brett Foss handled the third, fourth, and fifth innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three.

The score held through the sixth, and A-State went back to the well with an RBI double for Houseworth, who then jogged across home plate after Jumper rocked his second home run of the day for the 11-3 lead.
Cooper Garrison manned the mound for the final four innings, only allowing two runners to reach base in his time, while striking out three.

The Red Wolves loaded the bases in the eighth and one crossed the plate on a wild pitch, while Garrison   retired all three he faced in the bottom of the inning. Arkansas scored one more run in the bottom of the ninth in a two-out rally, but Garrison worked a popup for the final out of the game.
