TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (3/17/26) – Finishing its first event of the spring slate, the Arkansas State men's golf team finished fourth among 21 teams at the Seminole Intercollegiate hosted by Florida State at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
A-State turned in a final round 7-over par 295 and totaled 22-over par 886 for the 54-hole tournament. Florida State took the team title at 8-under par 856 followed by Southern Miss (+11) and Stetson (+17). The Red Wolves were five shots better than Lipscomb (+27) and Penn State (+27) for fifth while Florida Atlantic (+29) and Eastern Kentucky (+29) tied for seventh.
Thomas Schmidt finished just outside the top 10 in a tie for 11th with a 54-hole total of 2-over par 218. He shot 3-over par 75 in the final round. Playing as an individual,
Cole Kirby earned his best collegiate finish tying for 14th at 3-over par 219 (72-74-73).
Milan Reed tied for 19th at 5-over par 221 (72-75-74) and
Jake Wallis surged to a tie for 22nd at 6-over par 222 (72-79-71) behind a final round 1-under par 71.
Jake Lile (+14) tied for 58th and
Viggo Hed (+15) tied for 66th to round out the A-State players in the field.
Finishing inside the top four in five of six events this season, the Red Wolves return to action March 23-24 at Wigwam Golf Club in the Pay It Forward Collegiate in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
