“Pack Day” Returns April 25: A-State to Host Annual Spring Football Game and Baseball Game Versus Louisiana

JONESBORO, Ark. (4/17/26) – Arkansas State fans will be able to get their first look at the 2026 Red Wolves football team at its annual Spring Game and cheer on the A-State baseball squad in a key conference match-up during the school's annual "Pack Day," set for Saturday, April 25. 
 
"Pack Day" is presented by J Town's Grill and will start with the annual Spring Football Game at Centennial Bank Stadium. The game will kick off at 1:30 p.m., with free admission, gates opening at noon and activities taking place in and around the stadium. The first 150 fans through the gates will receive a free ticket to A-State's home baseball game later that day at 6:00 p.m. against Louisiana.
 
In addition to food trucks and concession options, Textbook Brokers will once again conduct its annual spring sale at the stadium with large discounts on a wide variety of A-State merchandise and apparel. 
 
The Hijinx Kids Zone will be located inside the stadium this year, with young fans able to take advantage of inflatable fun on the concourse when gates open. A pair of photo stations will also be featured on the concourse, including one with Howl and another with the football team's Xbox Bowl and 68 Ventures Bowl championship trophies. A table with information about Howl's Pals kids club will be located near the photo station with Howl.
 
DJ Ice Tre will be performing in-venue, along with the Sound of the Natural State and A-State spirit squads. Brandon Baxter will serve as the Spring Game's in-game host, and the outing will feature a "Fans Call the Play" segment with head coach Butch Jones.
 
Fans will have access to 1200 Club, Red Wolves Foundation, Dustin White Realty Tailgate City and season-ticket information tables.  Available season-tickets seats will be tagged on the west side of the stadium.
 
Beginning at 12:30 p.m., A-State will host a "Spring Game Football Alumni Huddle" for former Arkansas State football players, who are invited to attend the Spring Game and a tour of Centennial Bank Stadium's north end zone facility. Following the tour, former football student-athletes will be welcomed to the south end zone's east-side deck to watch the game.  A-State football alumni can RSVP for the event by clicking HERE.
 
A special Spring Game event being held in conjunction with the A-State Baseball Alumni Weekend will begin at 1:00 p.m., when former Arkansas State baseball players and their families are invited to the south end zone's west-side deck to watch the game together. At halftime of the Spring Game, Coach Jones will hand out the team's Spring Football Awards, and members of the Old Warriors will be on hand to recognize the 2025 winners of the Gary Withrow and Larry Lacewell awards. The Withrow award has been handed out since 2003 to A-State's top offensive lineman. The Lacewell team MVP award is named after the program's all-time leader in head coaching wins. 
 
At the conclusion of the Spring Game, fans will be allowed onto the field for an autograph session with players and coaches. There will be a free poster available at the game that fans are encouraged to use for signatures. 
 
Following the Spring Game, the scene will shift to Tomlinson Stadium and Slayton Family Field as the Red Wolves take on Louisiana in the second game of a key Sun Belt Conference baseball series. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. that evening with stadium gates opening at 4:30 p.m. 
 
There are two special giveaways available at the April 25 baseball contest, both courtesy of ServPro of Jonesboro. 
 
The first 200 fans 12-and-under will get a free youth replica Arkansas State Baseball jersey which will match the one the Red Wolves will wear that night. The jerseys will be limited to one per child, and the youngster must be present to receive a jersey. 
 
The game will also feature Series 4 of ServPro's team trading card set giveaway. The first 250 fans will get 10 cards, and the players and coaches featured in that evening's release will be on the field to sign cards following the game. Fans are also invited to run the bases on Slayton Family Field after every Red Wolves home game.

All Day: Open tailgating in Dustin White Realty Tailgate City at Mike Watson Park prior to and following Spring Game.
 
11:30 a.m.: Food trucks available near Centennial Bank Stadium main gates
 
Noon: Gates Open
  • First 150 fans receive a free ticket to A-State's 6:00 p.m. home baseball game vs. Louisiana
  • Concession stands open.
    • Water, soda & snack foods, along with special deals for individuals aged 21 & over

3:30 p.m.:  Farm Day Cookout begins at Judd Hill Farmers' Market.
  • All A-State Ag alumni are invited. 
4:00 p.m.:  A-State Baseball Alumni Weekend Tailgate at Tomlinson Stadium – Slayton Family Field for former A-State baseball letterwinners begins.
 
6:00 p.m.:  A-State baseball hosts Louisiana.
