EUGENE, Ore. (6/20/26) – Freshman thrower
Omar Hussein claimed the top spot in the men's shot put on Friday night as Arkansas State track and field concluded action at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships.
Hussein threw for a distance of 20.97m (68-9.75) to finish first among 25 contestants, and bested his in-season collegiate best of 18.72m (61-5.00) set at the NCAA West First Rounds.
Parker Noffz placed at ninth in the men's 1500 meters with a time of 3:55.24 while
Joe Edwards clocked in at 1:52.06 in the men's 800 meters to place at 12th. In the men's decathlon,
Kercher Herring recorded a ninth-place finish with a point total of 7,168 while 2026-27 newcomer Marcus Myhan checked in at 13th with 6,623 points.
