JONESBORO, Ark. (7/23/26) – Arkansas State volleyball has been named as one of the recipients of the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday.
 
A-State achieved the feat for the second consecutive season after posting a 3.38 team cumulative GPA in the 2025-26 academic year. The Red Wolves have earned the award in three of the previous four seasons and 11 times since its inception in 1992-93.
 
Overall, 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams received recognition by maintaining a year-long GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).
 
A-State will begin preparation for the 2026 campaign with the Scarlet and Black Scrimmage on Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. inside First National Bank Arena. Two more exhibition matches follow, as the Scarlet and Black travel to North Alabama on Aug. 18 and host Ole Miss on Aug. 22 before opening the regular season at Texas A&M on Aug. 28.
