2007: Leonard, one of 15 semifinalists for the Davey O’Brien Award last season, posted a school-record 2,782 yards of total offense and was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week three times as a sophomore, earning Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt Conference honors . . . Leonard set the ASU record for single-season touchdown passes with 16 and threw for the third most passing yards in school history with 2,235 . . . He added 547 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground, making him accountable for 21 total touchdowns, and finished the year ranked 40th in the nation in total offense . . . He threw a school-record five touchdowns in a game and also had a season-high 359 yards of total offense that ranks as the fourth most in school history . . . Finished the season ranked 40th in the nation for total offense (252.9 yards per game) . . . During the season, Leonard broke into the top-10 career leaders at ASU for total offense, passing touchdowns, passing yards and completions as only a sophomore . . . 2006: As a redshirt freshman in 2006, Leonard started seven games that included the last six outings of the season . . . Played in all 12 games . . . In his second career start, led ASU to a thrilling last-second victory over Memphis and was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week. He completed 12-of-23 passes for a season-high 219 yards and two touchdowns, including a 53-yard touchdown bomb with time expired in the fourth quarter to lift ASU to the 26-23 victory . . . Went on to finish the season completing 109-of-222 passes for 1,321 yards and eight touchdowns, all team highs . . . Threw for over 100 yards in seven games and for at least 150 in three contests . . . Over his last three games of the season, threw for 466 yards with four touchdowns and just one interception . . . A dual threat, Leonard also rushed for 331 yards (second most on the team) and two touchdowns . . .
