Placed seventh in the pole vault at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, clearing 3.76m (12-4.0) ... Cleared 3.80m (12-5.5) at the Hawkeye Invite, placing sixth ... Opened her collegiate career strong, placing fifth at the Crimson & Gold Invitational with an indoor-best 3.81m (12-6.0).

Prepped at Cody High School, where she was coached by her father ... Six-time Wyoming state champion (3 indoor, 3 outdoor) ... Also played volleyball, starting at setter for four years for Cody.

Daughter of Scott and Jamie Shaffer ... Birthday is Oct. 27 ... Her father, Scott, competed in the pole vault at Arkansas State in the late 1980s and twice qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the event, and is hailed as "the guru of Wyoming pole vaulting" ... Majoring in education.
