2014:  Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference selection by USA Today Sports (first team), Athlon Sports (first team), Lindy’s (first team) and Phil Steele’s (second team)

2013:  Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt Conference . . . Ranked second on the team in tackles among defensive linemen with a career-high 47 stops, including a team-best 9.5 tackles for loss that ranked 11th in the Sun Belt . . . Posted a career-high 3.0 sacks that were tied for the 14th most in the league . . . Recorded three pass break-ups and two forced fumbles, including one that was returned by teammate Sterling Young for a touchdown, from his defensive end position . . . Two forced fumbles tied the sixth most in the conference . . . Started every game . . . Tallied at least 1.0 tackle for loss in seven games, including a season-high two against ULM . . . Tallied at least three tackles in nine games, including a career-high eight against Texas State . . . Athlon Sports preseason Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection.

2012:  Played in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman and started five times, including the GoDaddy.com Bowl . . . Posted 36 tackles (15 solo/21 assists) from his defensive end position, the third most among ASU’s defensive linemen . . . Also recorded 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one interception and three pass break-ups . . . Finished with at least one tackle in all but one game and recorded multiple stops in 11 outings, including a career-high six against South Alabama . . . Posted four tackles, his second highest total of the year, against both Memphis and Kent State . . . Collected his only interception at Louisiana-Lafayette and returned it five yards . . . All three pass break-ups came in different games.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Two-time Alabama All-State choice . . . Three-time All-WAC Conference selection (2008-10) . . . Named to the Elite 11 by by the Southeast Sun three times (2008-10) . . . Class 3A all-state honorable mention selection by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a senior . . . Helped lead the Hawks to the playoffs, an 8-3 record and a No. 10 state ranking in the ASWA poll during his senior season . . . Posted 30 receptions for 442 yards and four touchdowns his senior campaign . . . Recorded 31 receptions for 563 yards and four touchdowns in 2009  . . . Recorded 42 receptions for 812 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore, earning honorable mention all-state honors by the ASWA . . . 2-star recruit by Rivals.com . . . Ranked as the No. 98 tight end in the nation by Scout.com . . . Competed in baseball and basketball as well . . . Beta Club member . . . Also recruited by Mississippi State, UAB and Georgia Tech.
