Julius Jackson is in his second year as a graduate assistant for ASU’s football program. Jackson is a former defensive back for Arkansas State who played two seasons for the Indians (2001-02). The Memphis, Tenn., native came to ASU after a stellar career at Hamilton High School in Memphis. While there, he was a three-year letterman and was nominated for the top-five “Athlete of Memphis” award selected by the Commercial Appeal. An outstanding scholar, he was a member of the National Honor Society and was the “Science, Engineering, Communications, Mathematics and Enrichment” Student of the Year as a senior. He also won the Columbia Sports Medicine Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the end of his senior year. Jackson, who graduated from ASU in May 2005 in physical education, was born 8-5-81 in Memphis. While at ASU, he had a 4.0 grade point average and was a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the President’s List. He is the son of Debra Jackson.
