2023-24: (Temple)
Knight coached the defensive ends for two seasons at Temple. Knight developed and coach All-American Athletic Conference defensive end Diwun Black who accounted for three sacks, six TFLs and eight hurries.
2019-22: (Georgia Tech)
Served as the defensive line coach and defensive recruiting coordinator. During his tenure, he oversaw the development of Djimon Brooks, who went from un-recruited walk-on to starter to an All-ACC performer in 2021. He also recruited and developed 2022 All-ACC honoree Keion White, who tied for third in the ACC in sacks and tackles for loss in his senior season and was selected by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He also recruited and coached All-ACC honoree Zeek Biggers and eventual All-American, SEC Player of the Year and Bronco Nagurski Trophy winner Kyle Kennard. His unit played a vital role in Georgia Tech ranking top 25 nationally in fumble recoveries in the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
2017-18: (Temple)
During his initial stint at Temple, Knight began as a quality control assistant for defense and recruiting. He was elevated to director of player personnel before being promoted against to outside linebackers coach and defensive recruiting coordinator ahead of the 2018 season. He helped the Owls appear in back-to-back bowl games, including a 2017 Gasparilla Bowl victory. The 2018 Owls defense ranked in the top four nationally in defensive touchdowns scored and was among the top three defenses in the American Athletic Conference.
2015-16: (Georgia State)
Served as outside linebackers coach. Part of GSU teams that hat the most-improved defense in FBS in 2015, allowing 15 points fewer per game than the season before. Georgia State made its first bowl appearance at the 2015 Cure Bowl.
2013-14: (Tennessee)
Spent two seasons at Tennessee, serving as a defensive graduate assistant in 2013 and defensive quality control coach in 2014. He worked directly with the defensive lineman and linebackers, where he helped put together a pair of top-five-ranked recruiting classes. He assisted in the development of first-round draft pick Derek Barnett of the Philadelphia Eagles.
2011-12: (Cincinnati)
Spent two seasons as a graduate assistant. Assisted with a defensive line that was No. 1 in the country in tackles for loss (8.6/ game) and finished the regular season first in sacks (3.5/game) in 2011. The Bearcats won a pair of Big East championships and captured a pair of bowl victories during Knight’s tenure.
