Biography

2014:  Switched sides of the ball during A-State’s 2014 spring camp, moving from the secondary to running back.

2013:  Played in all 13 games, working primarily on the special teams units . . . Finished the season with five tackles . . . Recorded one tackle in five different games.

2012:  Redshirted the 2012 season.

HIGH SCHOOL:  3-star recruit by 247Sports, which lists Williams as the No. 14 player in the state of Arkansas . . . 2-star recruit by Scout.com, Rivals.com and ESPN.com . . . Rated as the No. 19 overall player in the state of Arkansas by ESPN.com . . . 3-year varsity letterman . . . Named Class 5A All-State by the Arkansas Activities Association . . . Played both running back and linebacker in 2011 . . . Named to the AHSCA All-Star game roster as a senior . . . Recorded 1,080 rushing yards, 1,200 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior . . . All-Conference selection . . . Started all 10 games as a junior, rushing for over 800 yards and 10 touchdowns while splitting time at running back . . . Started at defensive end as a junior as well, recording 55 tackles (45 solo) and 3 quarterback sacks . . . Also recruited by Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
