Biography

2021:  During A-State’s spring camp, earned the team’s “Pack Performance Award” for his consistent performance in the weight room.

2020:  Started seven of 10 games played at his safety position, ending the season with 54 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, five pass break-ups, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble ... 54 stops (42 solo) were the second most on the team and tops among defensive backs ... Ranked 27th in the Sun Belt Conference for tackles with a 5.4 average per game ... Five pass break-ups were the third most on the team ... Posted at least one tackle in every game played and had multiple stops in eight outings ... Recorded a season-high 10 tackles and one pass break-up against Coastal Carolina ... Tallied nine tackles against Kansas State, eight versus ULM in the season finale and seven against both Central Arkansas and Appalachian State ... Collected a season-high 2.0 tackles for loss against the Mountaineers, but also had 1.0 versus both Central Arkansas and South Alabama ... Lone forced fumble also came against the Appalachian State, and his fumble recovery was posted versus Central Arkansas ... Collected a season-high two pass break-ups against ULM ... Arkansas State Athletics Director’s Honor Roll member.


2019:  Played in all 13 games on special teams and in a reserve role in the secondary . . . Finished his first season with the Red Wolves with 11 tackles (7 solo/4 assist) and 1.0 tackles for loss . . . Recorded at least one tackle in seven games and multiple stops in two, including a season-high four against Florida International in the Camellia Bowl . . . His 1.0 tackle for loss came against FIU as well.

KILGORE COLLEGE:  Midyear signee who will be able to participate in A-State’s 2019 spring camp and will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Red Wolves . . . Helped lead Kilgore College to a 10-2 record, the Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) championship and No. 4 ranking in the final NJCAA Poll in 2018 as a sophomore . . . The Rangers defeated Pima (Ariz.) in the TIPS-C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl in Waco, Texas . . . Earned Honorable Mention All-SWJCFC honors in 2018 after recording 63 tackles (third most on the team and 10th most in the conference), 2 tackles for loss, 1 fumble recovery for 32 yards and 4 pass break-ups . . . His freshman campaign saw him record 36 tackles for a Kilgore squad that finished 5-4 and receiving votes in the final NJCAA Poll.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Competed in football, basketball and track at Van Vleck (Texas) High School, where he played both offense and defense for the Leopards’ football team . . . Tabbed 1st team all-district as a running back and wide receiver as a junior and senior, respectively . . . Named a 2nd team all-district linebacker as junior and as a defensive back his senior season . . . 2-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals . . . Listed by 247Sports as the No. 18 junior college player in the state of Texas and No. 15 junior-college safety in the nation.

PERSONAL:  Born Feb. 2, 1999 ... Earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies in December 2020.
