2020:  Phil Steele’s and Athlon Sports Preseason Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference . . . College Football News No. 7 “Preseason Top 30 Sun Belt Players.”
 
2019:  Earl Campbell Award Watch List . . . Started the first four games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury during A-State’s victory over Southern Illinois . . . Despite being forced into an abbreviated season, still completed the year with 91 completions on 154 attempts (59.1 pct.) for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns with only one interception . . . Also recorded one rushing touchdown . . . Earning his first career start in the season opener against SMU, Bonner threw four touchdowns, while also setting new career-best marks for completions (32), passing yards (324) and total offense (340) . . . His 32 completions and four touchdowns both tied the seventh most in school history for a single game . . . Athlon Sports ranked his performance as the 21st best in the nation among quarterbacks who made their first career start in the season’s opening week . . . Named both the Sun Belt’s Offensive Player of the Week and an Earl Campbell Award National Honorable Mention Player of the Week after finishing the Southern Illinois game (Sept. 21) with 17 completions on 32 attempts for 320 yards and four touchdowns . . . 2018: Saw action in five games, all in a reserve role at quarterback . . . Completed 15 of 32 passing attempts for 181 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing five times for 33 yards with a long run of 11 yards . . . Passed for a season-high 74 yards and completed his lone touchdown against Southeast Missouri State, when he connected on 2-of-3 attempts . . . Season-long 54-yard pass against SEMO . . . Completed a season-best six passes on 14 attempts at Alabama, finishing the outing with 53 yards . . . Also completed 5-of-9 attempts for 44 yards against Coastal Carolina . . . Posted his most rushing attempts (3) and yards (28) against Alabama, finishing the contest with a season-high 81 yards of total offense . . . A-State Athletics Director’s Honor Roll member.

2017:  Played in four games in a reserve role at quarterback . . . Compiled a 77.05 pass efficiency rating, completing 9-of-21 attempts for 70 yards and one touchdown . . . Also rushed for 11 yards on seven attempts . . . Saw action against UAPB, SMU, Coastal Carolina and Louisiana, but only attempted a pass in three of those outings . . . Set season highs for completions (7), attempts (17) and yards (50) against SMU . . . Threw his first career touchdown against UAPB, ending the contest with two completions on three attempts for 20 yards . . . Attempted one pass against Louisiana . . . Recorded at least one rushing in attempt in all four games, including a season-high three against UAPB . . . Ran for four yards against both SMU and Louisiana . . . HIGH SCHOOL:  Named District 11-6A MVP after completing 272-of-457 passes (60 percent) for 3,671 yards and 32 TDs with just eight interceptions as a senior, while also rushing for six TDs . . . Honorable mention selection on the 2015 Texas Associated Press Sports Editors Class 6A All-State Team . . . District 11-6A First Team choice as a junior when he completed 171-of-308 passes for 2,177 yards and 19 touchdowns . . . Named District 11-5A “Offensive Sophomore of the Year” in 2015 . . . Completed 211-of-357 pass attempts as a sophomore for 2,415 yards and 22 touchdowns . . . Rushed for 443 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore as well . . . Completed his three-year varsity career with 654 completions for 8,263 yards and 73 touchdowns . . . Rated as two-star recruit by Scout.com, Rivals.com, ESPN.com and 247Sports.com . . . Listed as the No. 86 pro-style quarterback in the nation by 247Sports.com . . . Ranked as the No. 56 pocket-passing quarterback in the nation by ESPN.com . . .
