Arkansas State University

Gabe Torres enters his first season at Arkansas State in 2023 as a defensive graduate assistant. He joins the Red Wolves after three seasons at Charleston Southern as a defensive graduate assistant (2020-21) and cornerbacks coach (2022).

After two seasons as a GA for the Buccaneers, he was elevated to a full-time role coaching defensive backs. Under his watch, two players earned All-Big South honors in 2022 and finished inside the top 15 nationally in pass defense. 

Prior to his stint at Charleston Southern, he was a defensive undergraduate assistant at North Texas during the 2019 season after two seasons (2018-19) as a recruiting student assistant. 

Torres owns a bachelor’s degree in recreation, event and sport management from North Texas and completed his master’s in human resource management from Charleston Southern in 2022.
