From the Desk of Terry Mohajir: Red Wolves Update

Dear Red Wolves Faithful,

First and foremost, I want to extend my best regards to you and your family.

Now more than ever, we appreciate and need your support for our A-State programs and student-athletes.  With information and guidelines for all NCAA athletics events changing rapidly, many of you have made a number of inquiries to us about our plans here at A-State for the 2020 football season.  It is my hope that your athletics department can give you comfort and confidence to attend games if you so desire.

As of now, we plan on playing the 2020 season as scheduled.  We will play our first game Sept. 5, 2020, at the University of Memphis and host our first home game Sept. 12, 2020.

While we have made a strong effort to keep everyone updated, we understand important questions about our upcoming season remain.  With that in mind, I would like to update you on our current status in order to help you make important decisions about attending A-State football games this fall.

Based on the current conditions, we have initiated seating discussions for Centennial Bank Stadium.  In accordance with current guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health, we are in the process of designing a stadium seating plan to comply with those guidelines.  These potential seating options will be a fluid process as we do our best to help you feel comfortable and confident in the environment.

Our initial projections indicate that we will be able to seat all of our season ticket holders in accordance with current state guidelines.  I assure you all levels of season ticket holders will be given first priority during the planning process.  Single-game ticket purchases are conditional at this time and will be determined at a later date.

All of our stadium protective measures will comply with all applicable public health guidance.  We will continue to evaluate this extensive plan covering all areas.

Using this LINK (https://bit.ly/37qfMwp) you can find our current list of potential adjustments for the 2020 football season.  All items are subject to change based on the current conditions.  Once you've had an opportunity to review the information, we welcome and appreciate any feedback you would like to provide by contacting our athletics department via e-mail at Tickets@AState.edu.

Our athletics department will be communicating throughout the summer updates in protective measures for Centennial Bank Stadium and the surrounding areas on gamedays.  As you know, the public health guidance is evolving, and we will constantly monitor that guidance and make any necessary adjustments.  It is possible that some of those adjustments will be made during the season.

We hope this information provides some clarity as we all move forward together.  Ultimately, each of you will need to evaluate your circumstances to make your own decision about attending games.  We are here to answer any questions that you may have as you work through these decisions.

I am looking forward to being back with the Pack in Centennial Bank Stadium!  I assure you our athletics department is focused on keeping your best interests in mind.  Our goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident in attending games. Season tickets remain available.

If you're looking for an exciting way to start getting ready for the 2020 season, I encourage you to watch the final episode of our "Red Wolves Review" series that will appear on Tuesday, June 23, at 7:05 p.m. on ESPN+.  The final episode will highlight many of our featured players as part of a season preview we think you'll want to see.

Once again, thank you for your continued support, and GO RED WOLVES!
