A-State Soccer Adds Six Players on Signing Day

JONESBORO, Ark. (11/14/24) – Arkansas State soccer head coach Brian Dooley announced the addition of six players to the 2025 roster on Thursday.
 
"With this class, we've added speed in the attack with an ability to score," Dooley said. "We've added strength and grit to the midfield along with depth and versatility to our solid defense. Great teammates ready to contribute on the first day."
 
Kayla Windsor joins The Pack out of Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, Virginia, where she led the area with 37 goals. The Free Lance Star 2024 All-Area Girls Player of the Year powered the Eagles to a 13-3-1 record and a Region 6B semifinal appearance.
 
The forward earned 2024 All-Region First Team honors and was named Commonwealth District Player of the Year.
 
Larkyn Griffin signed with the Red Wolves following a standout career at Lewisburg High School. The Hernando, Mississippi native earned back-to-back First Team All-State honors in 2023 and 2024.
 
In addition, the midfielder earned a Rising Star award during her freshman campaign in 2021 after scoring four goals and three assists.
 
Jackson, Tennessee native Maggie Smith joins the program out of Tennessee Christian Academy. The forward tallied three goals in a 4-0 win over Jackson Christian on Aug. 29, and found the net five additional times in a 9-0 win over Fayette Academy six days later.
 
For the season, Smith posted 20 goals with one assist during her senior season, averaging two goals per game and finishing with 41 points.
 
Lucy Ledbetter will don the Scarlet and Black following her time at Mehlville High School in St. Louis, Missouri. The defender notched four goals in a 5-0 win over Gibault on April 8, en route to an All-Conference Second Team selection for the 2024 season.
 
Ava Riehl joins A-State out of Saucon Valley High School in Hellertown, Pennsylvania. The forward has tallied 86 goals and 41 assists during her varsity career, finding the net 28 times last season.
 
She helped guide the Panthers to a 15-5 record and a playoff appearance in 2024.
 
Ryleigh Van Beek joins the Red Wolves after concluding her high school career at Allentown Central Catholic High School. The midfielder earned EPC Girls Third Team honors and helped lead the Vikettes to a PIAA Class 2A semifinal appearance.
