A-State Tallies Three Event Titles in Second Day at Alumni Bulldog Relays

ST. LOUIS, Mo./STARKVILLE, Miss. (3/27/26) – Arkansas State track and field claimed three event titles and posted eight top-five finishes while four Red Wolves established new personal records on Friday at the Alumni Bulldog Relays and WashU Distance Carnival.
 
Carly Pujol posted a height of 4.16m (13-7.75) to take first place in the women's pole vault while Katharina Chaloupka finished two spots behind with a 3.45m (11-3.75) mark. With her second pole vault title in six days, Pujol has recorded 10 event titles in her collegiate career.
 
The Cape Girardeau, Missouri, native leads the Sun Belt and ranks seventh nationally in the event this outdoor season.
 
Selase Sampram recorded her second first-place finish of the 2026 outdoor campaign with a 50.16m (164-7.00) discus throw. The Sun Belt women' shot put leader now holds the third-best distance in the conference for the event.
 
Brandon Williams, Craig Becker, Joe Edwards and Aviel Gasko earned the last event title of the day for A-State by clocking in with a time of 7:39.85 in the men's 4x800 relay.
 
Syriah Boyd established a new personal best in the women's 200 meters with a time of 24.45, the 10th-best time in A-State's outdoor history for the event. Chris Boyd finished at third place in the men's discus throw with a distance of 53.77m (176-5.00), establishing a new personal best and taking the 10th spot in the Red Wolves record book.
