STARKVILLE, Miss. (3/28/26) – Senior multi-event athlete
Colby Eddowes captured the 110-meter hurdles event title to highlight Arkansas State track and field's final day of competition at the Alumni Bulldog Relays on Saturday.
The Canberra, Australia, native clocked in at 13.95 and claimed his third first-place finish of the 2026 indoor and outdoor campaign.
Alyas Wilson and
Michail Rose joined him inside the top 10, with the former finishing fourth with a time of 14.64 while the latter posted a time of 15.00 to secure ninth place.
Menachem Chen and
Omar Hussein set new overall personal bests and
Chris Boyd established a new outdoor personal record in the men's shot put. Chen finished second with a distance of 18.21m and Boyd placed fourth with a throw of 17.98m (58-11.75).
Hussein claimed third with a distance of 18.18m (59-7.75), the seventh-best mark in A-State's outdoor history for the event.
The Red Wolves ended the weekend with top-five finishes in the men's and women's 4x400 relay. The team of Eddowes,
Kercher Herring,
Bruce Payerli and
Jeremiah Green finished at fifth on the men's side with a time of 3:15.43.
The women's team of
Kneila Watson,
Syriah Boyd,
Jada Buggs and
JoJo Modile clocked in at 3:47.02 to finish fourth. It is the sixth-fastest women's 4x400 relay time in the program's outdoor history for the event.
NEXT UP
A-State resumes the outdoor campaign at three meets on April 3-4. The Scarlet and Black will compete at the Bobcat Invitational, Texas Relays, and Triton Invitational.
