JONESBORO, Ark. (11/2/11) — The Arkansas State women's basketball
program will host its annual “Evening Out with the Red Wolves” Friday, Nov. 4
at the ASU Convocation Center.
The event, for girls in first through seventh grades, is scheduled to
run from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Girls attending the Evening Out will have the opportunity to eat dinner
with the 2011-12 Red Wolves women's basketball team, play games and meet the
Red Wolves' coaches and staff members.
Prizes will be awarded throughout the night, and all girls attending
will receive a t-shirt.
"Our 'Evening Out' is always a fun event for the community and
everyone involved in our program," said ASU head coach Brian Boyer.
"We have a roster loaded with new faces this season, and Friday
night offers a great opportunity for our players to meet and interact with our
young fans. Our players are positive role models for the young ladies
attending the event, and the 'Evening Out" provides four hours of fun for
the girls that attend and an opportunity for parents to enjoy a Friday night
while we entertain their daughters."
The cost for the Evening Out is $10, and supervision will be provided by
the Red Wolves coaching staff and players.
A security officer will be on duty as well. For more information or to register, contact assistant
coach Leslie Larsen at 870-972-3637.
