Scott to Continue Basketball Career in Israel

JONESBORO, Ark. (8/31/2011) — Former ASU women's basketball player Shay Scott has signed with the Holon team of the FIBA National Federation and will continue her playing career in Israel.

During her senior season, Scott became just the second player in ASU history to top 1,000 points, 900 rebounds, 100 steals and 100 blocked shots in a career.  She recently received her degree in interdisciplinary studies.

"Receiving my degree from Arkansas State was a personal goal that has been reached, and now, another goal is in sight,” said Scott.  “I really enjoyed my time as a member of the Arkansas State women's basketball team and I believe that it has prepared me as I get ready to compete in Israel."

Scott closed out her career at ASU with 1,320 points to rank ninth all-time, 958 rebounds to rank fourth and 103 blocked shots to finish second.
