STORYLINES 

• This is the 43rd season of women's basketball at Arkansas State.
• The Red Wolves have an all-time record of 232-152 against non-league teams.
Brian Boyer captured career win No. 300 against Tulsa on Dec. 2.
• The last time Arkansas State defeated a ranked opponent was on Dec., 5th 2004.
• True freshman Jada Ford scored a season-high 23 points against Tulsa.
Lauren Bradshaw is tied for fourth on the all-time on the A-State career blocks list.
• Arkansas State enters the season with seven true freshman on the squad.
• The seven true freshman are the most in the Brian Boyer era.
• The Red Wolves graduated its entire strating five from last season.
• Arkansas State has two seniors, Brittany Fowler and Dominique Oliver.
 
KENNESAW STATE SERIES
• This will be the first meeting between A-State and Kennesaw State series.
 
NORTHERN KENTUCKY SERIES
• This will be the first meeting between A-State and Northern Kentucky series.
 
CAL SERIES
• This will be the second all-time meeting between between the Red Wolves and Bears.
• A-State participated in the Cal Contra Costa Classic in Berkeley, Calif., with the Red Wolves losing 81-62.
• Adrianne Davie was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line and scored 14 points. Rudy Sims led the team with 19 points. 
 
LAS VEGAS HISTORY
• A-State is making its fourth trip to Las Vegas and third under head coach Brian Boyer.
• The Red Wolves have an all-time record of 3-3 in the city and last made the trip in 2005 when the squad competed in the Duel in the Desert where it played #13 Notre Dame and #23 N.C. State.
• A-State also competed in the Duel in the Desert Tournament in 2004 against #12 Texas Tech and defeated Western Michigan.
• In 1996 the squad played in the UNLV Classic against Illinois and the host  school winning both games.
 
RECAPPING UT MARTIN
• Arkansas State lost its eight game of the season with a 68-63 setback at UT Martin on Dec. 14.
• The Red Wolves trailed by 18 with 8:19 to go in the third quarter but rallied to take a 1-point lead with 3:02 to go in the game.
Jada Ford led the way for A-State with 17 points, including four 3-pointers.
• A-State shot a season-high 46 percent (23-of-50) from the field and took a season best 22 3-point attempts.
• The Red Wolves also collected a season-high 9 steals and had their most blocked shots as a team with 4.
• UT Martin was held to just 36 rebounds, the lowest of any A-State opponent this season, had just five free throw attempts, also the lowest for any Red Wolves' opponent this season.
 
HOPKINS SECURES DOUBLE-DOUBLE
• True freshman forward Tahlon Hopkins secured the first double-double of her career with 11 points and 10 rebounds against UT Martin on Dec. 14.
• She narrowly achieved the mark on Dec. 6 against Tulsa but fell two points short of reaching double figures.
• She is the only A-State player to have a double-figure rebounding game this season and she has done it twice. 
 
THE DIFFERENCE AT THE LINE
• Arkansas State is shooting 64 percent (105-of-164) from the free throw line this season, but has seen a sharp contrast in its home/away splits.
• The Red Wolves are shooting an impressive 80 percent (40-of-50) from the free throw line at home this season, but managing just 57 percent (65-of-114) on the road.
 
RANKED OPPONENT HISTORY
• A-State is playing it third game this season against a ranked opponent. The Red Wolves also hosted #16 Florida and #22 South Florida at the Convo earlier this season on Nov. 22.
• The last time Arkansas State defeated a ranked opponent was on Dec., 5th 2004 when the Red Wolves downed No. 22 TCU 68-64.
• The ranked opponents are the most A-State has played against since playing 4 in 2005-06.
 
BLOCK PARTY
• Junior Lauren Bradshaw has become a dominant presence in the paint during her career and quickly moved her way up the all-time blocks records in school history.
• She has blocked 85 shots in her career, a mark that is the fourth most all-time.
• As a sophomore in 2015-16, she blocked 53 shots, third most in a single season in school history.
 
FILLING UP THE STAT SHEET
Akasha Westbrook has scored in double-digits in three out of her last four games and has produced some impressive numbers in the box score in each of those games. 
• She finished with 20 points and six rebounds against Iowa State and followd with 17 points and five rebounds at Wichita State.
• Most recently she scored 16 points and had five rebounds against No. 22 South Florida. 
• She is second on the team with 10.1 points per game this season.
 
LIGHTING IT UP FROM BEYOND THE ARC
• Arkansas State ranks the Sun Belt Conference in 3-point field goal percentage at 35.9 percent per game.
• The squad also ranks third in the league with 55 made 3-pointers on the year.
  
BUILT FORD TOUGH
• True freshman Jada Ford enjoyed the best game of the season when she scored 23 points and knocked down 5-of-7 shots from beyond the arc in A-State's 83-80 victory over Tulsa.
• Ford surpassed her previous high of eight points and also played a season-high of 18 minutes.
• Her five made 3-pointers also tie a season-high for any A-State player. Brittany Fowler also made five against Austin Peay.
• The 23 points are also tied for the most by an A-State player this, matching Dominique Oliver's 23 against Florida.
 
MILESTONE VICTORY
• A-State head coach Brian Boyer notched career-win No. 300 against Tulsa on Dec. 2, 2016.
• He became the second coach in A-State history to each 300 career victories while at the school (former men's coach John Brady reached 300 while at Arkansas State).
• He is also the first coach to win all 300 games while at Arkansas State.
 
CLUTCH WHEN IT COUNTS
• True freshman Starr Taylor knocked two free throws with 18 seconds to help A-State secure its first victory of the season against Tulsa on Dec. 2.
• Taylor finished the night 7-for-7 from the free throw line, marking the first time since Jan. 21, 2015 that an A-State player was perfect from the free throw line. Jasmine Hunt went 6-for-6 against UTA that year.
 
HI MY NAME IS...
• Seven freshmen will put on an Arkansas State jersey this season, the most during the Brian Boyer era.
• The Red Wolves had six freshmen on the team during the 2000-01 season and has had as many as five freshmen on a team six times since then.
• Of the 7 freshman, 5 are from the state of Arkansas, 1 from Tennessee and 1 from Oklahoma.
