AN A-STATE WIN WOULD
• Improve A-State's record to 2-6.
• Give A-State a 234-150 mark all-time against non-conference team.
• Give the Red Wolves their 75th victory over the last four years.
• Give A-State it's first victory over a ranked opponent since December of 2004 it defeated TCU.
• Improve's the Red Wolves' record at home to 41-4 over the last four seasons.
• Give A-State its second straight victory over an American Athletic Conference member.
RECAPPING TULSA
• Arkansas State captured its first victory of the season with an 83-80 victory at the Convo over Tulsa on Dec. 2.
• The Red Wolves were led by true freshman Jada Ford who scored a career-high 23 points and knocked down a season-high five, 3-pointers.
• A-State also had its best scoring output of the season at 83 points and shot its best field goal percentage of the year at 42.4 percent.
• The victory was also the first against the American Athletic Conference since its inception in 2014.
RANKED OPPONENT HISTORY
• A-State is playing it second game this season against a ranked opponent. The Red Wolves also hosted No. 16 Florida at the Convo earlier this season on Nov. 22.
• It is the first time in school history that A-State has played two ranked opponents at the Convo in the same season.
• The last time Arkansas State defeated a ranked opponent was on Dec., 5th 2004 when the Red Wolves downed No. 22 TCU 68-64.
BUILT FORD TOUGH
• True freshman Jada Ford enjoyed the best game of the season when she scored 23 points and knocked down 5-of-7 shots from beyond the arc in A-State's 83-80 victory over Tulsa.
• Ford surpassed her previous high of eight points and also played a season-high of 18 minutes.
• Her five made 3-pointers also tie a season-high for any A-State player. Brittany Fowler also made five against Austin Peay.
• The 23 points are also tied for the most by an A-State player this, matching Dominique Oliver's 23 against Florida.
SWITCH FLIPPED
• Not only did A-State have its largest scoring output of the season (83 points), the Red Wolves also had their highest scoring quarter, 29 in the second, and its largest scoring half of the year with 43 in the first half against the Golden Hurricane.
• The 83 points were also the most by an A-State team since scoring 89 in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament against Troy in 2015-16.
MILESTONE VICTORY
• A-State head coach Brian Boyer notched career-win No. 300 against Tulsa on Dec. 2, 2016.
• He became the second coach in A-State history to each 300 career victories while at the school (former men's coach John Brady reached 300 while at Arkansas State).
• He is also the first coach to win all 300 games while at Arkansas State.
CLUTCH WHEN IT COUNTS
• True freshman Starr Taylor knocked two free throws with 18 seconds to help A-State secure its first victory of the season against Tulsa on Dec. 2.
• Taylor finished the night 7-for-7 from the free throw line, marking the first time since Jan. 21, 2015 that an A-State player was perfect from the free throw line. Jasmine Hunt went 6-for-6 against UTA that year.
FOWLER POWER
• Senior guard Brittany Fowler scored a carere-high 17 points in the Red Wolves game at Austin Peay on Nov. 16.
• It was the second time in her career that she led the Red Wolves scoring and she also tied a career-high with five made 3-pointers.
• Fowler backed up her 17-point performance with a 10-point outing at Tennessee State in A-State's next game, marking the first time in her career that she scored in double figures in back-to-back contests.
• The Leachville, Ark., native currently leads the Sun Belt Conference in 3-point field goal percent age at 43.8% (14-of-32) and also ranks 59th nationally in the stat.
HI MY NAME IS...
• Seven freshmen will put on an Arkansas State jersey this season, the most during the Brian Boyer era.
• The Red Wolves had six freshmen on the team during the 2000-01 season and has had as many as five freshmen on a team six times since then.
• Of the 7 freshman, 5 are from the state of Arkansas, 1 from Tennessee and 1 from Oklahoma.
BLOCK PARTY
• Junior Lauren Bradshaw has become a dominant presence in the paint during her career and quickly moved her way up the all-time blocks records in school history.
• She has blocked 79 shots in her career, a mark that is tied for the sixth most all-time.
• As a sophomore in 2015-16, she blocked 53 shots, third most in a single season in school history.
WINNERS IN THE CLASSROOM TOO
• A-State was awarded the Sun Belt Conferene Team Academic Award at last year SBC Tournament, marking the third time in the last four years that the Red Wolves have won the league's top academic honors.
• The Red Wolves had a team GPA of 3.17 and placed eight players on the SBC Academic Honor Roll and SBC Commissioner Lists.
