A-STATE INVITATIONAL CHAMPS

Our volleyball team got off to a great start in 2024, defeating Southeast Missouri State, Ole Miss and Saint Louis to win the A-State Invitational last weekend at First National Bank Arena.  Congrats to Daedrianna Cail and Sarah Martinez for earning a place on the all-tournament squad.  The win against Ole Miss marked our first over an autonomy conference member since a 2019 victory at Virginia Tech.  Our Red Wolves now take their 3-0 record on the road for three straight weeks, beginning this Friday at the Blue Raider Bash in Murfreesboro, Tenn.  All three matches this weekend will appear on ESPN Plus.

A-STATE vs K-STATE

Our women’s soccer team is off to a 2-1-1 start this season and is set for a big home matchup today (Sept. 5) at 3:00 p.m. against Kansas State at the A-State Soccer Complex.  We’ve given up only one goal this season and hold victories against Little Rock and Southern Indiana.  We led our match against Central Arkansas by a 2-0 score at intermission before play was suspended, but the contest will be completed on another date to be announced at a later time.  We hope you can make it out to the A-State Soccer Complex on Thursday to help us cheer on our Red Wolves.

CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON

Our cross country teams opened the 2024 season under the lights of the Mike Rose Soccer Complex last Saturday, competing in the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic.  Our women’s squad placed third in the team standings with 97 points, while our men’s team totaled 128 points to place sixth.  With over 240 runners competing, we had five student-athletes claim a top-20 individual finish.  Our Red Wolves return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21, competing in the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis.

BOOTS AND BALLERS

We were excited to announce today the details for our seventh annual Boots & Ballers banquet, presented by Glen Sain Auto Group.  This event, which is always a fun way for our fans, student-athletes and coaches to get to know each other ahead of the season, will be held Oct. 17 at First National Bank Arena, beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Head men’s basketball coach Bryan Hodgson will introduce the team and deliver remarks at the event, which will also be highlighted by a Q&A with former U.S. national team member, NBA champion and Olympic Gold medalist Joe Kleine.  More information about Boots & Ballers can be found by clicking HERE.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES FULL 2024-25 SCHEDULE
