A-State Track and Field Totals 10 Personal Bests Saturday at Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (4/12/25) – Arkansas State track and field athletes accounted for 10 career bests and six season bests on Saturday to conclude competition at the Crimson Tide Invitational.

Carly Pujol won the women's pole vault, clearing 4.08m (13-4.5) for her fifth straight top-3 finish and fourth win in the last five meets. KG Ryan cleared a collegiate-best 3.58m (11-9), tying for 21st.

Jada Buggs ran a time of 55.54 in the women's 400 meters, a mark that ranks ninth in school history, en route to placing 15th in the event. Je'Breiya Chapman followed in 29th with a collegiate-best 58.12. Kneila Watson was 32nd (58.32) and Olivia Dixon finished 44th (1:00.02).

In the men's 400 meters, Spencer Taylor led four runners with a career-best 47.59, placing 14th. Mehki Hoo ran 48.86 to place 31st, while Brandon Williams placed 39th with a time of 49.25. Jeremiah Green clocked a season-best 50.21, placing 52nd.

Mia Conroy moved to ninth in school history in the women's 800 meters, running 2:13.24 in her 20th-place finish.

A-State's women's 4x400-meter relay team placed ninth with a time of 3:48.58, moving to ninth in school history. The men's 4x400-meter relay saw the Red Wolves placed 11th with a time of 3:15.12.

Camren Bailey finished 10th in the men's 200 meters, running a time of 21.05 that stands 10th in program history. In the women's race, Keniya Simpson was 39th (25.08) and Hanyla Milligan was 48th (collegiate-best 25.45).

Bailey also finished sixth in the men's 100 meters with a time of 10.41, ahead of Glass (24th, 10.84) and Jourdan Clements (41st, 11.17).

Matthew Williams placed ninth in the men's long jump with an outdoor-best mark of 7.09m (23-3.25) and later placed 20th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.81m (45-3.75). In the women's long jump, Nyima Williamson jumped 5.73m (18-9.75) to place sixth, with Madison Holloway was ninth with a season-best jump of 5.59m (18-4.25).  

In the women's shot put, Michelle Ogbemudia placed fifth with a toss of 15.26m (50-0.75) and Liya Guy finished 28th, throwing 12.06m (39-6.75).

Menachem Chen was ninth in the men's shot put, throwing 17.55m (57-7), and Chris Boyd placed 10th (17.36m/56-11.5).

Will Glass ran a season-best 13.98 to place sixth in the 110-meter hurdles, while Josh Jones was 10th with a time of 14.33. In the 100-meter hurdles, Tyra Nabors was 10th (13.95) and Miranda Burgett placed 33rd (14.91).

Jones also ran in the men's 400-meter hurdles, placing eighth with a time of 52.23. Kenyon Parker came in 16th, running a season-best 53.35.

In the men's pole vault, Gavin Schaer placed eighth with a collegiate-best 5.00m (16-4.75) clearance, while Jacob Dorrell cleared 4.85m (15-11) to tie for 16th.

Izzy Daines placed 13th in the women's javelin, throwing a season-best 41.63m (136-7). Daines also tied for ninth in the high jump with a height of 1.60m (5-3).

Madison Haldiman ran a career-best 4:38.99 in the women's 1500 meters, placing 23rd, while Malena Cybak clocked a season-best 4:42.48 to place 30th and Devyn O'Daniel finished 37th with a time of 4:56.71. In the men's race, Brett Jacobs placed 11th (3:52.56) and Aviel Gasko ran a collegiate-best 4:01.07 in a 30th-place finish.

Keniya Simpson ran 12.26 to place 24th in the women's 100 meters, ahead of Nyla Watson (38th, 12.60), AJ Allen (42nd, 12.69) and Hanyla Milligan (44th, 12.79).
