WALNUT/AZUSA, Calif. (4/17/25) – Arkansas State track and field's Colby Eddowes broke his own school record in the decathlon Thursday at the Mt. SAC Relays, as he was one of four athletes to record top-10 marks on the day.
He totaled 7,681 points in the event, finishing as the No. 2 collegian after recording personal bests in two of the final five stages. His mark currently ranks seventh among Division I athletes and also broke his own Sun Belt Conference record.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Mia Conroy placed fourth in the women's 800 meters, running a time of 2:10.10 that is fourth in program history. Brandon Williams then ran a career-best 1:52.15 in the men's 800, placing 21st.
Sammy Mason moved to seventh in school history in the women's 5000 meters, placing fourth in her section with a time of 16:47.39. In the men's 5000 meters, Avinash Patel clocked an outdoor-best 15:10.92.
In the invitational section of the men's 800 meters, Kamil Przybyla ran 1:49.97 in a 37th-place finish, moving to ninth in program history.
A-State continues competition Friday at Mt. SAC and the Bryan Clay Invitational, while also competing at the Leopard Invitational hosted at the nearby University of La Verne.
