Colby Eddowes and
Kercher Herring represented Arkansas State track and field in the men's heptathlon at the Fighting Illini Challenge on Thursday inside the UI Armory.
Herring ended the day with 2,881 points and set a new personal record in the men's 60 meters with a time of 7.10. Eddowes recorded the highest individual finish for the Red Wolves, placing third with a time of 7.06 in the same event.
Due to impending inclement weather forecasted in the Midwest this weekend, A-State will only compete in the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon on Jan. 23.
