CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (1/23/26) – Multi-event athletes
Kercher Herring and
Miranda Burgett competed in the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon during Arkansas State track and field's final day of action at the Fighting Illini Challenge on Friday inside the UI Armory.
Herring placed fifth in the heptathlon with a total of 5,131 points and moved to eighth all-time in the Red Wolves' indoor history for the event.
Miranda Burgett set a new personal best in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.93.
A-State returns to action on Jan. 30-31 at the Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky.
