AZUSA, Calif. (4/16/26) – Arkansas State track and field junior
Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo won the men's 10,000 meters and was one of four Red Wolves to set new personal bests in the first day of action at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
The Gatesville, Texas, native clocked in at 29:58.11 to best 27 contestants. He secured his first outdoor track and field event win since April 26-27, 2024, when he won the 500 meters at the Warhawk Classic. The 2025 Sun Belt Cross Country Men's Runner of the Year holds the fifth fastest 10,000-meter time in program history.
Devyn O'Daniel (10:51.32),
Erika Krueger (11:02.51), and
Lizzee Winkler (11:03.83) set personal bests in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase, and
Evan Stevens posted a time of 9:30.46 to finish at 84th on the men's side.

The Red Wolves' distance runners resume action at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California, while a majority of the roster begins competition at the Arkansas State Alumni Classic on April 17.
