Mulick Highlights Red Wolves’ First Day at Maroon & White Tune Up

STARKVILLE, Miss. (4/30/26) – A first place finish in the women's 5000 meters for Delaney Mulick capped Arkansas State track and field's first day of action at the Maroon and White Tune Up on Thursday.
 
The Franklin, Tennessee, native claimed the top spot over nine contestants after posting a time of 17:53.65. She secured an event win for the first time in her collegiate career and became the 30th Red Wolf to win an event in the 2025-26 indoor and outdoor seasons.
 
Abigail Tomberlin recorded a new personal best in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:59.99 while Sophey Pope set a new outdoor personal record at 18:23.94.
 
Finja Dziobek and Menachem Chen recorded runner-up finishes in the men's and women's discus throws, with the former throwing for a distance of 46.32m (152-0.00) while the latter posted a 53.04m (174-0.00) mark. Jared Moore finished one spot behind Chen with a personal-best 52.93m (173-8.00) throw.

The Red Wolves conclude action at the Maroon and White Tune Up and begin competition at the Music City Challenge on May 1.
