EUGENE, Ore. (6/10/26) – Arkansas State track and field concluded the 2026 outdoor season at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday at Hayward Field.
 
In the men's shot put, Menachem Chen recorded a distance of 18.72m (61-5.00) to finish at 13th while Omar Hussein posted an 18.25m (59-10.50) mark to place 17th. Chen concluded the outdoor season as a Second Team All-American and Hussein received All-American Honorable Mention honors.
 
Chen is tied with Richard Chavez for the highest finish by an A-State men's shot put thrower at the outdoor national meet. Chavez finished at 13th with an 18.92m (62-1.00) mark in 2015.
